Good education at Blakely High School

  • I was one of the few who went to Blakely but lived in the neighboring competitive town of Jessup. I remember paying the “out of town” tuition of $8/mo.I was fortunate to get a “good” education at Blakely and especially credit Mrs. Mary Rozelle., our English teacher. Later in life I published 3 books and co-authored a fourth, and give her a lot of credit.

I went on to college at Drexel University and co-opted my industry assignments at Daystrom in Archibald. I married an Olyphant girl, Helen Palubniak, and we made our way to the Washington DC area in 1963, and still live there.
